Privacy policy
The short version: we collect what we need to send your alerts, we don’t sell it, and you can have it deleted anytime.
This policy explains how Nabbi (“Nabbi,” “we,” “us”) handles information when you use heynabbi.com and our alert emails.
What we collect
Information you give us
- Your email address, so we can confirm your alerts and send them.
- Your mobile number, only if you turn on text alerts (a paid feature), plus a record of your consent (when you agreed, the wording you agreed to and a one-way hash of your IP address).
- What you’re watching: the places, items, dates, group size and other options you choose.
- Concierge requests: your name, email and the details you write in the request.
- Business inquiries: your name, work email, company and what you tell us about your needs.
- Product links you paste to track, and any webhook address you add to an alert (for example a Slack channel link).
- Messages you send us by email or from your account.
- Account details if you create an account: your email address and display name.
Information collected automatically
- A one-way hash of your IP address when you start alerts, used only to stop spam and abuse. We don’t store the IP address itself with your alerts.
- Standard server logs kept by our hosting provider (such as IP address, browser type and pages requested) for security and reliability.
- Partner link clicks, counted without identifying you, so we know which partners are useful.
Payments
Priority and Concierge payments are processed by Stripe. We receive confirmation that a payment was made and which alert or request it’s for. We never see or store your card number.
How we use it
- To check availability for what you’re watching and email you when it opens.
- To send confirmations, release-day reminders and messages about your alerts or requests.
- To provide Priority and Concierge when you pay for them.
- To text you alerts and the messages needed to run them (a verification code, a confirmation, replies to HELP), only if you turned on text alerts.
- To keep Nabbi secure, prevent abuse and fix problems.
- To understand, in aggregate, what people want to watch so we can add it.
We don’t sell your personal information, we don’t rent our email list, and we don’t use your information for third-party advertising.
Who we share it with
We share information only with service providers who help us run Nabbi, and only what they need:
- Hosting providers that run our website and database.
- Email delivery providers that send our emails.
- Stripe, for payments.
- Twilio, which delivers our text messages, if you turn on text alerts.
- Screenshot or browser services we run or use to capture the public product or booking page for alert receipts. They receive only the page address, never your details.
- Webhooks you add: if you add a Slack, Discord or other webhook to an alert, we send that alert there.
- Internal team tools (for example, a private chat channel) where our team receives Concierge requests.
Text messaging: we don’t sell, rent or share your mobile number or your text-messaging opt-in and consent with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes. We use your number only to send the Nabbi alerts you asked for. Reply STOP to any text to stop them, or turn texts off from the “Text alerts” link in your emails.
When we check availability on official sites, we send only the search itself (for example, a campground and a date). We never send your name or email to those sites. If you click a partner link, that partner’s own privacy policy applies on their site.
We may also disclose information if required by law, or to protect the rights and safety of our users and the public.
Cookies & your browser
Nabbi stores your watchlist and recent search in your browser’s local storage so it’s still there when you come back. It stays on your device and you can clear it in your browser settings. If you sign in, we set a login cookie to keep you signed in. We also set our own first-party cookie (nabbi_vid, kept up to 13 months) to remember how you first found us (for example a search, an ad, a link or an email) and which pages you visited. That information stays in Nabbi’s own database, is never sold or sent to advertisers, and is ignored entirely if your browser sends a Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track signal. Visits not linked to an alert or purchase are deleted after 6 months. We don’t use advertising cookies.
How long we keep it
- Alerts are kept while they’re active, and for a limited time after they end so you can see your history.
- Copies of emails we sent are kept for troubleshooting and then deleted.
- Alert screenshots are deleted after 24 hours. Written alert receipts (what we saw when an alert fired) are deleted after 90 days.
- Payment records are kept as long as required for tax and accounting.
- You can ask us to delete your information at any time (see below).
Your choices & rights
- Stop emails with the one-click link in every message.
- Access, correct or delete your information by emailing us from the address you used.
- Depending on where you live (for example California, the EU or the UK), you may have additional rights, such as the right to know what we hold, to object to processing or to lodge a complaint with a regulator. We honor these requests for everyone.
Security
We use encrypted connections, limit who on our team can access personal information, and confirmation links that expire. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a unique password for any account and tell us right away if you notice something wrong.
Children
Nabbi is not directed to children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect information from them. If you think a child has given us information, contact us and we’ll delete it.
Changes
We’ll update this page when our practices change and adjust the date at the top. If a change is significant, we’ll let active users know by email.
